Podcasting Assignment

You will work in small groups (2 -3 people) for this project. Each group will be responsible for producing a 10-15 minute podcast on some topic related to education, preferable educational technology. Content-related material is also acceptable.

In order to complete this assignment, you can use equipment available through the Media Center in Swem Library. We'll visit the Media Center for a tour and an intro to Garage Band as well as the equipment you can use either at Swem or to check out. If you want to work at Swem. you will need to reserve a recording studio. If you prefer to work at home, then you'll need to reserve/check out the appropriate equipment. You may also want to reserve time with either me or Troy Davis to help you set up your podcast using Garage Band. Not being able to get studio time or equipment will not be an excuse for not completing this quest on time.

These resources will help you as you work on your podcast:
Apple's Guide to Podcasting: http://www.apple.com/support/garageband/podcasts/recording/
Lots of helpful hints even if you aren't using Garage Band
Garage Band Podcasting Tutorial: http://www.apple.com/ilife/tutorials/garageband/gb3-1.html

Of course, you are welcome to do this with other equipment and software.

The podcast is due by 11 AM on Wednesday of your week. You can, of course, finish it early and submit it to me. I will post it during the appropriate week.
